In our lovely province, we have what is called graduated licensing. You get your permit, then get a driver's license and then finally you have to take a highway test and all that must be done within 5 years. So, I have had my basic driver's license for 4 years but now I need the hwy test and have to pass it within the next month (or will need to retake the first licensing test or lose my license). So fine, what's the big deal about the test? Well, it has a 50% pass rate and they are really particular and even though it's your highway test you are still tested on backing in the car, parallel parking, emergency road side stop, 3-pt turn plus highway driving. You are expected to check all your mirrors every 5-8 seconds, millions of blind spots, scanning and it has to be very obvious that you are looking. You also need to change into the right lane even if you know it will end in another block. I had three 90-minute lessons and my test is...

![]() You got 10/10 questions correct. It's pretty obvious that you don't make basic grammatical errors. If anything, you're annoyed when people make simple mistakes on their blogs. As far as people with bad grammar go, you know they're only human. And it's humanity and its current condition that truly disturb you sometimes. |

In my reading for my transcription course, I came across this and figured that typing it is great practice! I think it's so funny and dh, a medical resident, couldn't breathe from laughter!

DH & I are planning a trip for the beginning of February to Miami. His very very nice friend gave us air miles so we aren't paying for the flight. We are going with just the baby and the "big boys" are staying with my parents. We will go from thursday to monday. sounds great huh? well yesterday we went to look for hotels and there is like nothing available!!!! anything available is like $500 a night - CRAZY! Now we don't know what to do :( maybe we would change our flight to Orlando but there is no eruv so we'd be stuck inside or separate cuz of the baby (we had a great trip to orlando last year but we had my father who watched the baby while we went out with the boys...)
